What is the difference between eau de toilette and perfume?

To understand perfume, we need to start with what do we mean by fragrance concentration. It is basically the strength a fragrance has. When we say a perfume has a higher fragrance concentration, it means that it contains more perfume oil and less alcohol.

Eau de Parfum

Eau de parfum contains 15 to 20 % oil and it is able to last up to 5 hours. It is less expensive than parfum.

Parfum

This scent is the most concentrated. There are 20 to 40 % oil in parfum and the scent lasts 6 to 8 hours. This is suitable for those with sensitive skin as the alcohol concentration is less and it does not dry out your skin easily.
